THIS AIN’T THE ROSEDALE LIBRARY presents Me & My Brother, the first feature film by Robert Frank
Filmed with Allen Ginsberg & Peter Orlovsky, Me & My Brother premiered at the 1968 Venice Film Festival and was re-edited in 1997. This film plays cleverly with reality and fiction, weaving a story using documentary footage of Peter & his catatonic brother Julius as they follow Allen on a reading tour.
Screened along with: Getting it Together a film by Leonard Henny & Jan Boon on the legendary poet Larry Eigner – confined to a wheelchair & living most of his life in a round room on top of his family home, Eigner used his unique perspective on the world to craft some of the most starkly beautiful minimalist poems every written, all rooted in his observation of the minute changes & patterns in the world outside his windows.
Don’t miss this rare opportunity to see this film & experience the banal beauty of Larry Eigner’s world.
